In the driver's seat...
I remember when I was about 6, we had a break-in and the officer that came and filled out the report let me wear his hat and sit in the front seat of his police car to get a picture. (It was a Polaroid and I’ve still got the pic. 😊)
He even let me flip on the lights and siren. 😀
Back then they drove the Ford Crown Victoria and I had a blast in it. Then in my early teens, I used to help my Grandpa work on vehicles and he taught me the ins and outs of automotive. Everything from brakes, mufflers and even changed out a whole driveshaft one time. 💪
Now what does that have to do with voice acting?
Even though these experiences didn’t have a direct impact on my voice acting career, family road trips and memories like these helped me develop a love for automobiles.
Whether it’s lyrics or script, words have the power to convey a simple thought from one to another, however coupled with the emotion of the human voice, the impact is phenomenal. I strive each and every day to tap into veins of positivity and use it for greater hope and strength in this crazy, wonderful world we live in.
And channeling that positivity into your project, is what I enjoy most.
Kind words,
from great people...
It’s been such a pleasure working with you and I can’t imagine a better working relationship. Beyond being on top of every detail through last minute changes and inclement weather, you’ve made the time to send appreciative emails and even endorse me on LinkedIn. I think those things really speak to your kindness. You’ve set a great example for me as I grow in the professional world for how I’d like to nurture my working relationships.
Thanks for helping us create great work for our automotive clients every month. I think they’ve been very happy with the finished products and we couldn’t have delivered those without your help!
Keep up the great work!
Hey David, I just wanted to shoot you a personal email and let you know we really appreciate you working with us on some of the insane sporadic shifts in direction with this project. We are told one thing and it’s not uncommon for that to change almost immediately on the client’s end so you being flexible is very appreciated sir. Thank you.
Good morning, David! I simply wanted to take a minute to say THANK YOU for always being so flexible when we receive script revisions and have to catch you before (sometimes after) you knock out the original we’ve sent. Working with the auto industry and doing this many brands and locations definitely presents some challenges when there are so many different things each brand requires and so many details have to be double checked. We can’t thank you enough for always being so professional and quick to respond.
