As a kid, my mom let me voice the recorded voicemail messages with each new answering machine. (You know, those little boxes with the miniature cassette tapes. 😆)
I was like 5 years old, so I guess it means I got a pretty early start. 😉
On up into my teens, joined up with several family and friends to start an oldies tribute, show band and played for senior citizens all over the state.
That went on for about 10 years and it was a real special experience to see how the music of their youth would bring back the sparkle into those aged eyes.
So, being in front of mic has been kind of a common thing for me and doesn’t evoke any kind of delusions of grandeur, however it has been a huge benefit in becoming casual and sincere when behind the mic.
Whether it’s lyrics or script, words have the power to convey a simple thought from one to another, however coupled with the emotion of the human voice, the impact is phenomenal.
I strive each and every day to tap into veins of positivity and use it for greater hope and strength in this crazy, wonderful world we live in.
And channeling that positivity into your project, is what I enjoy most.
